Etsy allows people to sell their crafts directly to customers. But there are restrictions on how many shops you can run at any given time. Here’s what you need to know to follow Etsy’s terms of service.
Can you have more than one shop on Etsy?
You can have more than one Etsy shop at a time, yes. Etsy does have some rules about this though. You can’t sell the same items in both shops. You also need to disclose each shop in your Etsy profile.
How to open a second Etsy shop
To open a second Etsy shop, you’ll need to start a new account with a new email address. You aren’t able to have multiple shops under one email address. Just log out of your current Etsy shop and start a new account with your new business email address.
Tips for managing more than one Etsy shop
Just because you can have more than one Etsy shop at a time, doesn’t mean you should. Unless you have unlimited time (don’t we all wish??), I don’t recommend having more than one shop unless you have a very good reason to do so. For example, maybe you sell items that might be considered offensive to part of your audience. That may be a good reason to separate your listings into two different shops.
If you just have two different target markets for your shop, I recommend keeping only one Etsy shop. It will be easier and faster to grow your sales when you have one shop and your reviews and sales history will grow faster as well.
If you do open more than one shop, it’s easier to manage them if you use separate browsers for each. So you can stay logged into one shop with Chrome and another with Firefox, for example. That way you don’t waste a lot of time logging in and out every day.
